Bill Panitch is a long-time collector and dealer, appointed in 1993, to the Presidential Advisory Committee of the American Numismatic Association, the world's largest numismatic organization.
He has served on the board of directors of The Industry Council for Tangible Assets - a national dealer trade organization (now known as the National Coin & Bullion Association). He is a frequent speaker on a variety of numismatic subjects, and has served on the adjunct faculty of the State University of New York as instructor in numismatics.
Panitch has been involved in the field since presenting a talk on the subject of mint errors to the Albany Numismatic Society in 1962, at eight years of age. As a dealer and appraiser, he has been active in the trade since 1977. He also served for several years as a contributor to "The Redbook," the popular Guidebook of United States Coins published annually for over seventy years, with over 20 million copies sold.
